Teacher-Leaders Make A Difference!

The administration of the Mid-Level Campus would like to recognize the leaders of the school’s Advisory Committee which include the following teacher-leaders: Robert Fawcett, Lindsy King, Jennifer Springer-Mundell, and Tiffany Williams. Members of the Advisory Committee focus on continuous improvement for the school’s advisory period.

These teacher-leaders have been instrumental to lead our staff to create a positive and supportive environment for our students at the Mid-Level Campus. During the past two summers, they attended the Character Strong summer conference and brought back innovative ideas to enhance the advisory class curriculum and the school's rewards system for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

This year, they led the successful implementation of an electronic PBIS Rewards system, streamlining the recognition of positive student behaviors and further encouraging student engagement and participation.

In addition to their work with PBIS, the Advisory Committee has played a vital role in planning and executing student recognition assemblies to celebrate student achievements and foster a culture of encouragement and belonging.

Their efforts have directly contributed to a significant decrease in class exclusions and a noticeable increase in student engagement, highlighting the impact of their initiatives. Furthermore, they have provided essential guidance and leadership in helping students begin their High School and Beyond Plan, ensuring that students are prepared to chart their academic and career paths with confidence.

Through their leadership and collaboration, the Advisory Committee has strengthened the school’s commitment to Goal 1 of the West Valley School District’s Strategic Plan: to foster a culture of safety and belonging for all students.

Their work serves as a cornerstone for the campus's efforts to build a positive school climate where every student feels valued and supported. These outstanding individuals are just a few of the many who make the West Valley Mid-Level Campus a truly special place.
