West Valley Community Park * Clean-Up Day * Sat, Oct. 19, 2024 * 9:00 am - 12:00 noon
The Kiwanis Club of West Valley and members of the West Valley youth service leadership program will host a clean-up of the West Valley Community Park on Saturday, October 19, 9:00 am – 12:00 noon. Members of the youth service leadership program include elementary, middle level, and high school students from West Valley.
Volunteers will pick-up litter, trim overgrown brush, and perform other light maintenance activities. Community members, staff, and students are welcome to participate. All volunteers should wear work clothes and gloves. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Central Park Picnic Shelter at 9:00 am to register and receive an orientation for the day.
West Valley Community Park is adjacent to West Valley Middle and Junior High Schools, with access from S. 80th Avenue and S. 75th Avenue.
West Valley Kiwanis Club invites community members and families to join in the fun. “We’ve found that inviting community members to join our service projects helps our community and shows them who we are and what we do”, said Ken Irwin, project chair.
In a partnership with the Kiwanis Club of West Valley, students participate in the following service clubs: Wide Hollow Elementary K-Kids Club, West Valley Middle Level Campus Builders Club, and West Valley High School Key Club.
Everyone is invited to assist with this year's Clean-Up Day and help make West Valley a great place for kids and families.
