We'll explore the delicious world where cooking meets innovation, crafting awesome charcuterie boards, decoding the science behind your favorite foods, and even 3D printing custom utensils. Get ready to cook up some fun, learn incredible skills, and make amazing edible creations!

  • Join us for an exciting 6-week journey into Indigenous language and culture! This after-school club welcomes middle school students (grades 6–8) to explore the Ichishkiin language through interactive games, storytelling, and hands-on activities. No prior language experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and willingness to learn. Students will discover greetings, kinship terms, numbers, and land-based vocabulary while building confidence and connecting with the Native heritage. Each 60-minute session is designed to be fun, culturally grounded, and meaningful, with movement, team challenges, and real-world language use. By the end of the program, students will be able to introduce themselves, count to 10, and participate in simple conversations—all while honoring the Native people.

    Plus, we team up with the Kiwanis Club of West Valley for awesome events like park clean-ups, holiday celebrations, and more. Come join the fun and be a force for good!

    Jump into the exciting world of computer science and coding! In this club, you'll build a strong foundation in programming through fun, hands-on activities. We’ll explore coding using tools like Scratch animations, mini-drones, and different types of robots.

    Want to put your skills to the test? You'll also have the chance to compete in Central Washington Robotics League one-day competitions in both the fall and spring! (Space is limited to 18 students.)

Whether you want to improve your understanding of math, dive into a good book, write a killer paragraph, or explore maps and cultures, you’ll get the support you need and have a great time doing it.
    With fun, friendly help from Mrs. Schmidt, learning doesn’t have to feel like a chore. Come hang out, ask questions, and tackle your homework with confidence. The Study Squad is where learning gets easier — and way more fun!
